    Hi, I’m Kelsey!
I started The Hive in 2022 as a communal space for teens in menstruating bodies to discuss and explore the holistic nature of sex: the phases of the menstrual cycle, consent, social media’s influence on how we view and understand sex, relationship dynamics, building embodiment toolkits, and more!
It wasn’t until my early 20s that I learned about the phases of the menstrual cycle and I wondered where this information had been in my sex education. Since then I’ve been developing an even richer dialogue with my own body that will be a lifelong conversation and I’m so excited to bring this beautiful and vital information to young folks. I dream of positive, embodiment-focused sex education for all!

    Hi, I’m Sam!
I am a sexuality and consent educator. Growing up in diverse cultures it has given me a deep appreciation for the uniqueness of each person’s experience. I have always been passionate about helping young people navigate the journey of understanding their bodies, particularly when it comes to periods. My goal is to create a safe and open space where we can learn about periods without any shame or stigma attached. Let’s explore this topic together in a supportive and inclusive environment, where we celebrate our differences and embrace the journey of womanhood with confidence and understanding. Periods are absolutely normal, natural and healthy!

    Hi, I’m Michelle!
I’m a sexuality educator and a Master of Public Health candidate. While working with people of all ages at Planned Parenthood, I began to grasp how important receiving and understanding the foundational knowledge about menstruation is. Often, we get to adulthood before we realize how much we don’t know. Having worked with young women in the sexual/reproductive health and behavioral health spaces, my vision is to empower young women with the knowledge and confidence to know what’s happening with their bodies, identify safe and reliable resources, advocate for themselves, and celebrate these new changes.

Understanding your cycle is a
super power!
