Voice + Creative Expression

Some of what we work on together:

  • Creating healthy habits - Taking care of the body + voice (your amazing instrument!)

  • Nurturing and encouraging creativity

  • Pre-and-post-performance tools + care

  • Audition preparation

  • Mindfulness and embodiment techniques to utilize as a singer

  • Exploring colors and textures of sound

    For Young Ones -

As a classically-trained singer, I believe in the musical foundation work and experiences for children. How we set our posture when singing, the way the body is relaxed or tense, where the sound sits in the face and mouth, the tone of the vowels… these are all foundational learnings that contribute to the quality and health of one’s voice and sound. These help to set singers up for success, not only musically, but in how we choose to use our voice and speak in the world.

The foundational pieces are just as important as the encouragement of a young person’s imagination and creativity. To have a space in which a child gets to express and explore their creativity is a gift of freedom! As a singer-songwriter and performer, I know the power of using art and music to process the world and express in multi-sensory ways.

Children are ripe with sensitivities and whimsies that deserve to be encouraged and nurtured. It’s my honor to offer a warm, creative and expansive space for young people to explore their unique expression.

It’s such a gift, to get to connect with folks in different parts of the world doing this work!
I teach from my piano and students get to be in the comfort of their own home. I encourage students to have a designated space they come to each week. A space that feels inspiring and helps to ignite creativity. We’ll talk more about this in our sessions together, how different spaces can offer freedom and nourishment for creativity and vocal expression to blossom.
